Hard game mostly cause they created their complications losing most of the 2^nd balls, but still they amazed with quick attack developments playing essentially inside out on this particular match.

Kris returned, once again, to the position that celebrated him as a top player and it was influential organizing the transitions and dictating the pace of the match. Apart from last season being top scorer of the competition, this season he has been more instrumental providing rather than scoring at the same ratio, though he has scoring important goals and made is past the 20 goal mark. In this match he scored one of the three goals of the Galaxy.

Fabio Carvalho was also outstanding playing backwards, giving no room for their most dangerous player, their African striker. Even when disagreeing sometimes with the referee, and most with enough facts on the table, he was incontestable back in defense. He scored a goal from a intentional free kick trained by Galaxy and he did provide enough safety and calmness to Junior that has been each game improving and leaving it mark on the field, playing defensively and when needed going forward to increase advantage in attacking numbers. Both of them never play by the opponents mistake as they prefer to make strong anticipations which has lead to the defense of Galaxy to be so consistent this season.

Alvaro and Xicão, have been the goalkeepers this game. The prolific guardians of the last centimeter of field often connected with the voice of command working fine and in behalf of the productivity of the team as a whole. Both were untouchable and even in the end it was Alvaro Yashin making a true spider save allowing the match to end 3-2 for Povoa Galaxy.

Nelson Motta outplayed their opponents creating spaces, providing assists and delivered the best of a defensive game, mostly at expenses of powerful attacks done by Galaxy through direct football. It has been a safe game bringing levels of creativity to the field once again. His trademark long passes and quickness allowed Galaxy to make fast transitions optimizing the chances and the ball possession.

João Paulo created often chances in this match and gave his flavor of technique to the opponents and rising on almost every chance he had against opponents even with pannas. The only time he eclipsed himself was when he got more individual than expected when the game could go either way, but still made a consistent performance and brought his essence to the match. He has been wonderful in the cup helping the Galaxy to reach this Cup.

Fonseca got in delivered is best performance this season opening the scoring one minute after he got in as a sub. This time he did made the perfect runs and going back and forth making his great defensive display, finally, using is unique body as a mean to achieve the goals.

Eddy bringing pace to the game as well, running, running and running, dribbling the opponents inside out and not just delivering powerful shots but as well passes to the second striker.

Carlos Ali even though it has passed unnoticed, he did the right moves to create opportunities for others. He squandered a chance in front of goal, but in the end he went up and down like a Japanese Tsubasa giving no space left for others to create further chances. His off the ball positioning gave Galaxy the enough edge to be on the top most of the game, even when the attendance and other team though possible to achieve victory against Galaxy. Not Happening though… 

Deserved winners...less talk talk and much more action... Action by Galaxy on the 3-2 victory in the cup final...

Golos por Nelson Motta, João Paulo e João Fonseca compuseram o resultado final.

Partida de grande consistência defensiva e numa clara circulação de bola rápida originando os múltiplos ataques do Galaxy que só pecaram por serem mais eficazes, porém a vitória e qualificação para a final da competição eram objectivo primário e foi alcançado.

Com Álvaro Yashin e Xicão em exibições de excelente nível e a transmitirem segurança defensiva, libertaram Vítor, Júnior, Fábio para uma maior confiança para a partida. Vítor e Júnior garantiram a estabilidade no sector mais recuado através de uma marcação mais zonal e com intervenções preponderantes potenciando os ataques que se revelaram posteriormente mortíferos pelo Galaxy.

Kris regressou à posição de “10” e conseguiu obter mais do seu estatuto organizando as saídas para o ataque enquanto Carlos e Roberto jogaram em instâncias mais avançadas garantindo um maior pressing, ainda que não tenha sido tão eficaz quanto o habitual, suficiente foi no caso. Carlos ganhou imensas bolas e o seu posicionamento ajudou a libertar os restantes colegas de equipa.

Fonseca entrou no decorrer da partida e obteve um tento, esforçando por tentar posicionar-se no terreno de uma melhor forma e que a dado momento da partida foi útil na manobra ofensiva.

João Paulo marcou um golo de belo efeito através da conversão de um canto directo e obteve outro tento durante os “90” minutos. Colou-se à ala e abriu o meio do terreno para se garantirem remates frontais entre os quais, alguns que beijaram a barra da equipa adversária.

Nelson Motta jogando em compensações de vai vem com João Paulo e Fonseca abriu o activo e desbloqueou o marcador, facto que garantiu uma exibição mais avassaladora do ataque do Galaxy.

A equipa adversária através do seu número 88, Sérgio Freitas e outros jogadores que mantiveram algum destaque jogaram muito na procura do erro ao contrario do que teriam efectuado contra a equipa africana na transacta semana e apesar da excelente réplica não foi suficiente para reverter o desfecho final.

Numa partida em que valeu mais pelo resultado do que pela exibição global, o Galaxy averbou mais uma vitória concludente por claros 19-0.

Este resultado pode revelar em potencial alguma menos valia da equipa oponente, porém que cai por terra para qualquer telespectador ou adepto que tenha observado este mesmo jogo.

Com a equipa visitante a bater-se bem, foi o Galaxy que revelou alguma superioridade e primazia no seu jogo directo, ainda que nesta partida o Galaxy tenha passado por um jogo mais misto do que somente numa perspectiva directa como tacticamente costuma apresentar.

Esse facto deveu-se ao recorrente uso às jogadas individuais e ambições individuais excluindo um pouco o grupo, e como Maniche e Simão Sabrosa recentemente disseram “Quem não quer jogar para o grupo, devia autoexcluir-se das escolhas”.

Existiu um ambiente menos positivo no seio do grupo no decorrer da partida, por mais que o resultado potencie outras perspectivas. Assim, existe um trabalho de grupo a fazer para que todos possam sair satisfeitos e não existam cenas menos próprias para consumo como as que sucederam durante a partida. Processos a assimilar durante o treino para as mentalidades mais frontais em sinergia com as personalidades mais reservadas.

A mensagem aplica-se para dentro e fora do grupo de trabalho.

Não são os outros adversários que são fracos ou menos estimulantes, é a nossa equipa que é muito forte e faz parecer as situações mais simples.

Melhor ataque, melhor defesa, best goal average de todas as ligas, fair play. Estes são os valores que regem factualmente o Povoa Galaxy presentemente.

Durante esta partida, existiram jogadas construídas de raiz de trás para a frente, passando a bola por todos os elementos, começando numa perspectiva de passe curto até o ataque desenrolar-se numa perspectiva mais directa.

Destacam-se exibições defensivas exemplares de Viktor Kone, Xavy e Junior. Os golos não menos menosprezados de Kris e as proporções de algumas das jogadas. E o jogo directo de Carlos, Roberto e Fonseca que tacticamente se colocaram no terreno potenciando as aberturas de espaços que fizeram com que o Galaxy jogasse, de forma um pouco inédita, numa perspectiva mais central.

Substituições maximizaram o poder da equipa durante a partida e foram cronometradas nos timings correctos e inclusive nos momentos mais exactos assim sucederam, o que fez com que o Galaxy acabasse por desfrutar do jogo com uma maior agressividade que originou o resultado volumoso final.
